Although a lot of you know me as Rowbi, My real name is Andy and I live near Cambridge in England. I’m 30 and live with my wife who is surprisingly good about my G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome), and my Daughter (who already has a guitar amp, but is a little too young to start learning to play at the moment).
I’ve been Playing Guitar on and off for around 15 years now (although I got my first guitar when I was 7), and in this time I’ve owned and borrowed various guitars, amps and FX pedals all in the search of the best tone.
I’ve played in a few bands, but currently I’m playing in an 80′s and 90′s rock and metal covers band called SLEDGEHAMMER!, check them out here: www.sledgehammerband.co.uk
I’m a fan of gain, and don’t really play a lot of clean guitar music… Something with a Tube Screamer or Plexi involved is always pleasing to the ear, or a Dual Rectifier… Some of my early influences are:

I also pride myself on giving others a true and unbiased opinion of any and all gear that I have some experience or knowledge of. This includes praising gear that I think is great, as well as pointing out the failings of gear that I think has missed the mark!… Regardless of who the manufacturer is…..
